Mixed media canvas with vintage tag

Zeus-and-Zoe-mixed-media-canvas

Hello friends! :) Today I'm sharing a mixed media canvas I created for Zeus and Zoe. It was one of those projects that turned out totally different from what I had envisioned in my mind's eye...like most of my projects...*LOL*

I started with a wrapping tissue base then added some lace and trim on my 8x8 canvas. I used some spray mists from Lindy's Gang but the colours were a little too subtle for me so I decided to add texture with a little glass bead gel. And then gold paint...and mediums....[you know about my gold obsession, right? *winks*]

Just when it seemed like all was lost in gold lala land, I remembered this beautiful vintage tag that was in my Zeus and Zoe DT package....

With the tag as my focal point, I added some pearls and blooms and embellishments...and my canvas actually looks pretty! Yay! *High fives all around*

P/s: Just want to share some awesome design team news.:)

If I added that much to a canvas it would surely be nothing but a mess, you have such an eye for where everything can sit so perfectly!!! Gorgeous Yvonne and I love the vintage tag and of course I love your background!!! It is beyond me how you do it. Big hugs

The textures you create are always awesome Yvonne ...most of the time I try to guess what all must have gone in it..before reading the details..I get few rights...as with this tissue guess was right, interesting to know that it has glass bead gel n mica flakes !I loved how you made the vintage tag as focal point and embellished it to make look even more beautiful !
