So I wash my sink....a lot.

Sophie-on-canvas

The thing about working with mixed media is the constant need to wash your sink. Seriously. I wash my sink. A lot. I'm the sort who needs to wash her medium off her stencils/masks immediately. So I would work on several pieces of canvasses at the same time, then dash off to the sink to get everything I used cleaned. I hate the paint residue in the sink and have to wash it too. *LOL*

A 4x4 mixed media canvas featuring my niece Sophie. :) Crafter's Workshop template with fiber paste, lots of paint and gesso....and seriously working my floral stash...[Yay! Go me!] Pretty lace from some sexy under "things" [Hey! They were expensive!].

Supplies: Golden fiber paster, Crafter's Workshop template, Bella buckle, lace, ribbon, paper bloom, handmade felt bloom, letter brad, paint, 4x4 canvas.

P/s: Thank you for the sweet comments on my post "Miss you Chandler boy.....:(". I appreciate your kind words my friends. :)

Awww, what an adorable canvas! I love the textured background and the bits of lace you included, and that photo is fabulous. The mix of flowers is fabulous, too. Love the rhinestone circle around the monogram, also. :)

haha! I hear ya! using stencils and stamps for canvas can be a lot of washing later. But your canvases are so beautiful that they are totally worth your time and effort!

I'm really good about washing stamps/masks/etc promptly, but often I go right back to the project and leave the sink for later. Which is why my sink is so colorful. :)

Hi Yvonne! It has been a long absence, but things have been a bit hard: father 95, mother almost 91 doing radiotherapy, wife broke right elbow and I’m consuming some much needed holidays to take care of all this...

Amazing, as always!! Great job!!

As far as Blogtrotter Two is concerned, it seems nobody is interested in St. Kitts, so maybe I should try something else. Anyhow, enjoy and have a great week or better a vacation, if still available!!!

Beautiful canvas Yvonne! Loving all the texture!! I save my lace from my knickers too :) I only wash everything at the end of a session and actually use the basin as I find it easier to clean the residue off porcelain than metal.
